This site is a 'wiki' which is a page of information that can be publicly accessed by everyone and is open to contribution by all. This is flawed however though in the fact that anyone can contribute which can create false information to be assumed to be truth and factual. Wiki's are like a giant white board where anyone can merely just access off a server not a private account. There are private wikis available though that can be highly useful to education as students could access information that is reliable and created by a teacher. wikis are called e-learning 2.0 because they are a second most reliable source of information on the internet after actual journals and primary sources. Collaborating with other peopl eto create new knowledge is the aim of e-learning 2.0. we can now collaborate over the internet through many different sources include msn emails my space blackboard etc.
